Who We Are

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

What We Do

The On-Site program is focused on involvement with our residents at the Purdue Center of Hope. Here, we house women and children, as well as single women. Our residents find themselves here due to a hardship in their lives, ranging from homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, unemployment, and so much more. They turn to us, where we provide a safe place to stay, therapy and treatment, food, life skills classes, and hope at no cost to them.

This program is made of 4 opportunities (some are available on an as-needed basis):

  • Skills Training
  • Tutoring
  • Camp Hope
  • Administrative
